Puerto Iguazu - March 3rd 2011
After spending a few more days in Buenos Aires we took a 20 hour bus journey north to Puerto Iguazu, famous for it's National park and magnificent waterfalls nearby. Neighbouring country Brazil also shares half of the National Park and you can also see the waterfalls from this side too. The Argentinian side offers a close encounter, with walkways taking you over and across the falls whereas the Brazilian side offers a more panoramic view and a closer look at the Devil's Mouth which is the biggest waterfall here. Which one to go for? We opt for both!
The falls were absolutely stunning and didn't disappoint. We spent 5 hours on the Argentinian side and bought a boat ride which took us right up to falls to give us a closer look. As they handed us a waterproof bag as we boarded, we knew this was gonna be a very wet ride.

Brazil - March 4th 2011
After a day at the falls yesterday, we thought that we'd be all waterfall'd out by now but we're interested to see what a different experience the Brazilian side of the falls offers. Once again, it doesn't disappoint. The park over here though is much smaller than it's Argentinian counterpart though and sadly we're only there for a few hours. That's the last sub tropical jungle we'll be seeing for a while as the next stop is Rio De Janeiro and the crazy carnival.
