Jammu with chocolate river
We left Srinagar early in the morning and headed to Jammu in southern Kashmir. This journey was an 8 hour voyage along some extremely high and bumpy mountain roads through the Kashmir valley. We feared for our lives on occasion. The poor person in front of us was being sick the whole time.
When we finally arrived in Jammu we had a couple of days to relax and explore the city. A lovely meal on a rotating restaurant over-looking the city at sunset was a perfect way to finish our time here.
In stark contrast we left Jammu in torrential monsoon downpours, we were afraid that our little state bus would be washed away as the rivers swelled and burst their banks.
